When we build infrared heaters for bathrooms, we aren’t just worrying about the steam. We’re thinking about the people using them—especially the little ones. The goal is simple: make it warm, keep it dry, and make sure it doesn’t hurt your eyes. The “Blinding Light” Problem Ever looked at a standard industrial heat lamp? It’s blinding. That kind of glare is fine for a warehouse, but it’s a nightmare in a home, and it’s potentially dangerous for an infant’s sensitive eyes. So, we do something different. We filter the light. We strip out the harsh UV peaks and that aggressive visible light, leaving only the infrared waves (between 0.76 and 1.5 $\mu$m) that actually warm your skin. You get that cozy, radiating heat, but the light stays soft and gentle. Sure, we lose a tiny bit of raw power by filtering it, but that’s a trade we’ll make every single time for the sake of safety. Dealing with the Damp Bathrooms are wet. That’s why we go with an IPX4 rating. In plain English? It means the unit can handle splashes from any angle without shorting out. We seal up the electrical junctions tight and wrap the quartz heating element in tempered glass. This glass does two jobs: it keeps the moisture away from the electrodes and holds that eye-protection coating in place. A Few Tips on Setup Most of these plug right into your home’s standard voltage, but here is where you need to be careful: the power draw. If you go for a high-wattage unit because you want the room to warm up instantly, just double-check your circuit breaker. You don’t want the power tripping the moment you turn on the heat. Also, we use high-temp silicone wiring inside. Regular insulation can melt when things get really hot, and that’s a problem nobody wants. One last thing. If you ever notice a crack in that glass cover, stop using it. The seal is broken, the IPX4 protection is gone, and it’s time to replace the housing before you run into electrical trouble in a wet room.
